Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis attempted to catch what looked like a routine pass in the Week 3 game against the Saints and suffered an ankle injury.
He hasn't played since.
The Chiefs offense was supposed to be based around the run game this year. And that run game was supposed to be based around Jamaal Charles and Hillis.
That's part of the season Hillis' absence has been frustrating.
"It's frustrating," Hillis said Monday. "I can't beat myself up about it when I can't go in there and do anything. It's been weighing on my mind here lately, and I want to get back out there and show something."
Hillis started to do a little more in practice last week so hopefully the bye week will be enough time for him to get back into the fold.
