Today is a big day for Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel. The team will release their Thursday injury report at some time today and the big question will be whether Cassel practices after suffering a concussion last weekend.
He didn't practice on Wednesday, which only fueled the thinking that Brady Quinn will be starting Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So Thursday is a big day. If Cassel doesn't practice, it'd be very hard to see him playing on Sunday. That would mean, in the best case scenario, Cassel would have only a day (Friday) to practice, and it's certainly not a given he'll be ready to practice on Friday.
Romeo Crennel said this week that the team is being cautious with Cassel's situation. The doctors will make the decision on when he can return so in that sense this is a good thing for Crennel -- what could be a hard decision very well could be taken out of his hands completely.
Romeo will talk around 10:45 a.m. (Arrowhead Time) today. We'll have a better idea of Cassel's status by then.
