Chiefs Director Of College Scouting Reportedly Set To Interview For Bears GM Job

The Kansas City Chiefs front office has been pretty stable for the last couple of years but they face the prospects of potentially losing one prominent member.

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Phil Emery, Chiefs director of college scouting, is expected to interview with the Chicago Bears about their open GM job.

If you read Michael Holley's "War Room" you'd know Emery has a strong role in the Chiefs draft preparations. He was an area scout for the Bears from 1998-2004 and he was the college scouting director for the Falcons before taking the KC job.

The others interviewing for the job, according to the report: Tim Ruskell (Bears - interim), Jason Licht (Patriots), Jimmy Raye (Chargers) and Marc Ross (Giants). And whoever else undoubtedly comes up during the search.

I suppose it's a good thing when other teams want members of your staff or your players but it doesn't make it any easier replacing them. We'll see how this goes for Emery.
