Bills Vs. Chiefs: No ThigBone Offense On Sunday

When the Buffalo Bills signed QB Tyler Thigpen last month, I immediately thought of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Could Thigpen start against the Chiefs in Week 1?

The answer is no. Thigpen won't start as it'll be QB Ryan Fitzpatrick lining up against the Bills. I talked with SB Nation's Buffalo Rumblings this week about Thigpen and how Bills fans are viewing him.

Thigpen is coming off of a terrible pre-season in which he completed 48 percent of his passes and averaged 4.2 yards per passing attempt. He still does not have any rapport whatsoever with Buffalo's receivers, and hasn't yet seemed comfortable in re-acquainting himself with Gailey's offense. Meanwhile, Fitzpatrick looked brilliant in the team's third (and most important) pre-season game, sporting a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating against Jacksonville. You'll see Thigpen holding a clipboard on Sunday, and hopefully for the remainder of the season, as well.

I guess they're not interested in a receiver throwing 50-yard touchdown catches to Tyler Thigpen.
