After Tony Moeaki, Eric Berry and Jamaal Charles being lost to season ending injuries in consecutive weeks, the sight of Brandon Flowers going down last Sunday in the San Diego Chargers one was tough to swallow for Kansas City Chiefs fans.
The good news is that it doesn't appear his injury is a season ending deal. The bad news is that we're not sure if he'll be available on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Todd Haley was asked about Flowers' status today (video on KCChiefs.com) and said there was a good chance he'll be "limited or out" for today's practice, which is going down this afternoon.
Nick Wright of 610 Sports has reported that it's a high ankle sprain for Flowers, which can take a week to several weeks to recover from. That he has a chance of being limited in practice today would suggest Flowers won't be out that long but we just don't know yet.
We probably won't know much more until Friday when the Chiefs have to announce his status -- probable, questionable, doubtful or out.
