The Kansas City Chiefs play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 and the quarterback they may have expected to see before the season, QB Peyton Manning, won't be on the field.
It remains to be seen whether QB Kerry Collins, who was signed in the offseason, will be there as he recovers from some sort of injury suffered last weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If the Collins injury is serious, the Colts may consider signing another quarterback and that quarterback could be familiar to the Chiefs, according to the Indy Star.
Sources says Colts are working out QB Dan Orlovsky and Brodie Croyle today as they consider roster addition.
Croyle, who wasn't re-signed by the Chiefs, spent about a week with the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason.
QB Curtis Painter came in for Collins last week so a lot of things would have to go wrong in Indy for the Chiefs to see Croyle in Week 5.
