I can't say I know for sure but it would appear that WR Jonathan Baldwin is making progress in his bid to play in his first regular season game this year.
The Kansas City Chiefs rookie receiver was listed as a limited participant in practice last week after suffering a thumb injury over a month ago. That was the first time all year he's been listed as anything but a non-participant so that's a sign he's making some sort of progress to get back on the field.
Then Baldwin was on the field before the Chiefs-Chargers game catching passes in pregame warmups. He was already ruled out so he wasn't going to be playing either way but getting on the field and catching passes -- even just in warmups -- is another sign of some sort of progress.
Perhaps Week 4 is when we get out first look at Baldwin. The Chiefs will start practicing on Wednesday for Vikings week which will be our first chance to see if he's upgraded to a full participant in practice.
I caught myself looking at some Baldwin highlights at Pitt and I'm ready to see this guy on the field.
