Chiefs Defense Causing Pressure But Chargers Lead, 7-0

The Kansas City Chiefs got a nice break on the San Diego Chargers first possession picking off a QB Philip Rivers pass and returning it 50 yards. S Kendrick Lewis did the duty with CB Javier Arenas in coverage on a pass intended for WR Vincent Jackson.

The Chiefs lined up to go for it on fourth down but TE Leonard Pope got a holding call moving them back 10 yards. That lead to K Ryan Succop missing a field goal -- his third miss of the season.

The Chiefs really needed to capitalize on that turnover and they didn't.

The Chargers got the ball back and started driving down the field. At one point, Rivers was hit in the backfield, fumbling the ball right in front of two Chiefs. Unfortunately for KC, they couldn't recover it and San Diego kept possession of the ball.

The Chargers continued marching down the field on a 15-play, 72-yard drive culminating in a touchdown.

Early in the second quarter, the Chargers lead 7-0.
