Chargers Have Key Players Not Practicing Today

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers will be meeting on the west coast this weekend and it appears the Chargers will be hurting a little bit.

The Chiefs had three players on their injury report on Wednesday and Thursday while the Chargers, whose Thursday practice report has not yet been posted, had seven players listed on Wednesday's practice report. One of them, LB Jonas Mouton, has been placed on IR, so he's out.

The Chargers will release the official practice report at some point tonight (get with it, Pacific time zone) but Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune reports several key players missed practice on Thursday.

That list includes: WR Vincent Jackson, TE Antonio Gates, DE Corey Liuget, S Bob Sanders and RB Mike Tolbert. We're not sure what's up with Jackson and signs point to Tolbert playing.

Acee lists his most-likely-to-least-likely-to-play list like this: Tolbert; Gates and Sanders; Liuget; Floyd.

Head coach Norv Turner acknowledged earlier this week that Floyd could be out this week.

As long as QB Philip Rivers is in the game, the Chiefs are going to have some problems, I think.
