Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles was lost for the year last week thanks to an ACL tear and the Chiefs haven't added a running back in his place.
They reportedly worked out former Chiefs FB Mike Cox and, according to Adam Caplan, they also worked out RB Sammy Morris this week.
Morris is best known as the former New England Patriots running back, joining them in 2007. He was drafted by the BuffaloBills in 2000 and also spent some time with the Miami Dolphins.
He's seen limited time in his decade-plus career running the ball over 100 times in a season just twice.
With Charles' open roster spot this week, the Chiefs brought back WR Jeremy Horne, so they're at 53 players right now.
