Calvin Johnson Is Awesome But Dwayne Bowe's Not Far Behind

Megatron, otherwise known as Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson, was clearly the top wide receiver coming out of the 2007 NFL draft. He was picked second overall while WR Ted Ginn was selected ninth overall and the third receiver off the board was Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe.

Chiefs coach Todd Haley was with the Arizona Cardinals in 2007 (who had their own decent receiver) but says Calvin Johnson has the chance to be one of the all-time greats.

"This 81, Calvin Johnson, was one of my favorite players as a receivers coach when he was coming out," Haley told Detroit reporters earlier this week, according to MLive.com. "I thought he had a chance to be one of the best ever, and I think he's kind of pushing toward that. You've got to handle him. If you just put the blindfold on, and hope a guy like that doesn't hurt you, you're probably going to have problems."

While Johnson is supremely talented, let's not forget about our own 2007 receiver -- Dwayne Bowe.

Bowe has one more reception (277) than Johnson (276) and only about 500 less receiving yards. Bowe has 31 touchdown receptions to Megatron's 35.

Megatron is the most talented player out of that group but Bowe's not far behind in what counts -- production.
