AFC West Standings: Chargers, Raiders On Top; Broncos, Chiefs At Bottom

We did our weekly AFC West standings posts on Tuesdays last year but, because I was as depressed as the rest of you, I forgot to do it yesterday. So, here's a look at the current AFC West standings (as if you didn't already know) and who each team has coming up next week.

1. San Diego Chargers (1-0). The Chargers took care of business against the Minnesota Vikings and QB Donovan McNabb and his 39 yards passing. Unfortunately for KC fans, QB Philip Rivers is still great. The good news for Kansas City Chiefs fans is that San Diego travels to New England to take on the Patriots next week.

2. Oakland Raiders (1-0). The Raiders squeezed past the Denver Broncos on the second Monday Night Football game. They didn't look great doing it but they extend their AFC West winning streak. They haven't lost to an AFC West opponent since the Chiefs beat them 16-10 on Nov. 15, 2009. Next week we'll see how good the Raiders are when they travel to Buffalo to face the Bills.

3. Denver Broncos (0-1). The Broncos struggled, as expected. A lot of folks are pinning them down at the bottom of the league (along with the Chiefs) and it appears that would be accurate. They'll host the surprise Week 1 winning Cincinnati Bengals next week.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1). Did you hear the Chiefs lost in Week 1? Next week we've got the Detroit Lions.
