The Kansas City Chiefs are extra busy this morning making several personnel moves.
First, S Reshard Langford has been brought back to the team, the Chiefs announced. The Chiefs originally signed him on Christmas day in 2009 and he was released in early September on the final cut down days. He's on the 53-man roster.
Second, to make room for Langford, the Chiefs formally placed S Eric Berry on injured reserve, officially ending his season. Sigh...
Third, the Chiefs added to their practice squad by bringing back FB Shane Bannon, the team's seventh round pick, and OT Butch Lewis, who signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent earlier this year.
Fourth, to make room for those two practice squad additions, the Chiefs released from the practice squad TE Kyle Nelson, who was signed last week, and OL Lucas Patterson, who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent earlier this year.
So here's what the Chiefs practice squad looks like right now: LB Justin Cole, G Darryl Harris, WR Jeremy Horne, DB Quinten Lawrence, OL David Mims, NT Anthony Toribio, OT Butch Lewis and FB Shane Bannon.
