Well that was closer than expected. The Chiefs came up short against the Green Bay Packers tonight, losing 20-19. The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers both exchanged big runs in this final preseason game, 16 and 13 points respectively.

Matt Cassel and Jamaal Charles both had minor injuries that they both eventually shook off. However, Tony Moeaki and Barry Richardson both left the field with injuries of their own. We will update you on them as soon as we hear one.

The Chiefs had a sloppy second half. They had four turnovers which resulted in 13 points for Green Bay. QB Tyler Palko played most of the game and he may have earned a spot on this team.

Speaking of playing most of the game, Todd Haley left the Chiefs' offensive starters in for much of the game. Except for Matt Cassel who left with an injury, Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe both played well into the fourth quarter. Personally, I would have liked to see the starters come out earlier but I can see where Haley is coming from. Are the Chiefs better served by having the starters gain more preseason experience or by evaluating players they probably know they are going to cut anyway? I say the former.

We'll have much more on this game tomorrow morning.
