No Practice For Chiefs At Training Camp Today

For the first time in five days, the Kansas City Chiefs are getting a day off. According to the Chiefs training camp schedule, the players are off today. They were off last Tuesday and players were actually allowed to go back home so maybe you'll see a Chief or two walking around KC today.

Since the Chiefs are off, I'm going to slow down and re-charge as well. The heat at yesterday's practice really got to me and wore me down last night. I really have no idea how the players do it out in this heat. We saw LB Tamba Hali yesterday with a towel over his head and drinking lots of water so it looks like he was trying to combat the heat.

The Chiefs get back at it on Monday and Tuesday with morning walk-throughs and afternoon practices. Wednesday night is another night practice, which is the last night practice of camp. From there, the Chiefs will travel back to KC to prepare for the Friday night game against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

They return to St. Joe for another four days of practice before calling it a camp and heading back home for good.
