After thousands of emails and complaints I have agreed to finish out the adventure game today. I kind of wanted to wait until all of free agency (for the most part) was over with and the Chiefs newb's could be inserted to the game. I understand that they would have played all season but you don't get to make up the rules to the game. I do, and you just have to deal with it! In case you are new to the game or just need a refresher on how the game works you'll need to go back and play the first quarter, second quarter, and third quarter again.
At the end of the game we're going to try something a little different. Because it would be almost impossible for me to know where everyone stands at the end of the regular season, and that some of you may have qualified the Chiefs for the playoffs. EVERYONE will be involved with writing the script for the post-season.
If your adventure leads the Chiefs to the playoffs then you will write a comment and give the other commentors two choices. Just like I've done with the regular season. When they make their decision you can fill in what happened. The fun part of this is that EVERYONE can jump in and give their account on what happens in this real adventure. The stranger the better and I have a feeling this is going to jump all over the place thanks to Ups.
Week 14 - New York Jets
The Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the New York Jets in a week 14 battle of two former USC quarterbacks. A gentleman that shall remain nameless will most likely take his road trip to see this Pac-10 baller that he feverishly defends to give the "I told you so" comments on a 5-yard completion (that was still thrown behind the receiver). In any case, Sanchize can try and throw all he wants against our secondary, good luck to you Sir.
The game starts off pretty dull for the first quarter and a half. Neither team gets more than two first downs on any of their drives and Colquitt is seen getting oxygen on the sideline. That is until Jon Baldwin beast-modes a ball in the air in which he paves a highway straight to the endzone from a previously lonely island. The Chiefs lead the game 7-0 going into halftime.
Much of AP is buzzing on the gameday thread about the Chiefs ability to stuff the run-game of the Jets, led by Kelly Gregg, who is showing his former defensive coordinator Rex Ryan that he's still got it. Thomas Jones is also having one of his most-productive games of the season as he's averaging over 5 yards per carry by following Pro-Bowl candidate fullback LeRon McClain.
It's now the 4th quarter and the Chiefs are ahead 10-6. They have the ball on the Jets 28-yard line and they have a 4th and 4-inches.

Week 15 - Green Bay Packers
The defending Super Bowl champions head to Arrowhead with the best record in football and a quarterback that has made most Packer fans forget about a particular Wranglers spokesperson. (Who even in Week 15 has people talking about another comeback).
Former K-State alum Jordy Nelson has had a breakthrough season in which he was surpassed 100 yards in seven different games for the Packers. Bryan Bulaga and Derek Sherrod are the two young tackles that are currently starting for the Packers and they have kept Aaron Rodgers upright all season, and that means bad things for a defense. Jermichael Finley has become the player that everyone associated with the Packers always praised he could become.
The game starts off strong for the Packers as two Aaron Rodgers touchdown passes to Nelson and Finley control the first quarter. 165 comments in the gameday thread on AP call for the trade of Flowers and Carr. Six commentors are mocked relentlessly for mentioning that the Chiefs might just not be at the same level as the Packers right now. (Steve, Kalo, MN, Generic, CF85, and Satch will get over it)
The Chiefs fall behind 28-6 heading into the last two minutes of the 4th quarter. You have a choice as a fan sitting in Arrowhead.

Week 16 - Oakland Raiders
This game will undoubtedly be the most important game between these two teams in a number of years. This is the game that you won't want to miss as two hated rivals play a crucial game with playoff implications. Simply put. The cross talking between AP and Silver and Black Pride will have Woody working 24 hours a day. Some AP stats for the week. 56 commentors get banned per day leading up to the game, some form of Jamarcus Russel's name will be used 4,557 times, Ups will be called a Raider fan 435 times, and Joel will front-page a post with the netiquette rules for SB Nation because of all of the problems. 369 comments on that post will have to be deleted.
Kelly Gregg gets to introduce little Wiz' to the NFL and absolutely dominates the fomer Nittany Lion all over the field from start to finish.
The Chiefs completely dominate the Raiders to the point that I don't even have a game-day situation for you to choose between. But something different.
Choose your own Adventure - After the game, do you celebrate by inviting friends over for a celebratory BBQ (maybe to watch the afternoon game between Detroit and San Diego), or do you head to the nearest waterting hole to celebrate with other Chiefs fans?
Week 17 - Denver Broncos
At this point in the season the Broncos will be more concerned with whether or not they will get Andrew Luck in the upcoming draft. Kyle Orton was having another good, not great season. But even though he may have been giving them the best shot at winning, he wasn't the answer for the team in the future and they have to start planning for down the road. Tim Tebow has started their last five games and the always under appreciated Orton will again deal with the embarrassment of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. In Seattle, he'd be preparing for the playoffs and Denver would have a clear answer on whether or not Tebow was their savior (see what I did there?).
At half time of the game the Chiefs lead 17-3 and Cassel has been very sharp as he's 13-15 for 176 yards and two touchdowns. At the start of the third quarter Dexter McCluster returns the kickoff for a touchdown and the Chiefs lead 24-3. On the very next play from scrimmage, Tebow throws a pick-six to Eric Berry and the route is on. 31-3 and two touchdowns in less than a minute.

So that is the end of the adventure. How'd you do? Remember, if you have qualified for the playoffs then you need to write a comment about the situation of the playoff game(s). Leave two choices for the next commentor and someone else will make a decision and then you can fill in what happened. Feel free to disagree in the comments section about what happened in this fake account into the future. But you cannot second-guess my doings because they really do happen :)
