On Thursday morning 610 Sports' Bob Fescoe tweeted that he's hearing LB Justin Houston's agent doesn't want to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs until the league year begins.
The league year begun -- officially -- at 3:54 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) today when the players informed the league office they had ratified the CBA.
And, what do you know? Houston has reportedly agreed to terms.
Brian McIntrye, who does some work for SB Nation, and Aaron Wilson of FOX Sports and 610 Sports (I don't know who was first so they all get credit), report that Houston agreed to a four-year deal worth $2.786 million including a $671,248 signing bonus.
We're still waiting for the Chiefs to officially announce this, and the Hali deal, but it sounds like good news to me. At least Houston wasn't the last draft pick signed.
Second to last isn't much better though.
