Is there anything better than game day? I really don't think there is.
(Actually, the Candy Bar Crunch from Foo's Frozen Custard in Brookside may be better than gamedays. It's that good.)
The St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs will be meeting this evening at Arrowhead Stadium for the annual Governor's Cup. This is a "rivalry" game because they're across the state and we'll be posting our St. Louis trash-talking thread later today. For now, though, here are a few random thoughts on the game for you early birds:
-The most important take away in this game is that the two teams are raising some money for and bringing awareness to Joplin. So if you're going to the game, bring a few extra bucks.
-The third game is usually when we see the starters play the most but we don't know if that'll be the case this year considering Todd Haley's approach to the preseason. Maybe he wants until the fourth game to play the starters a full half.
-This is the first game of the year at Arrowhead for me. I missed the first game on a company trip so I'm finally getting back there to see the first game since the Baltimore Ravens were beatin' the Chiefs up.
-Any guesses on the attendance tonight? I don't think it'll be very pretty out there.
