Vegas Knows Chiefs Are A Bad Preseason Team

I've said this before but it bears repeating: If you're betting on the preseason, you're probably slightly crazy and slightly addicted to gambling. But if you are making those exhibition game bets, remember that the Kansas City Chiefs are generally pretty awful in the preseason.

Vegas knows it, too. Or at least the Las Vegas Review-Journal's wire service does. Here's what they said about last week's game, where the Chiefs were seven point 'dogs.

Exhibit A came Friday when the Chiefs were getting 7 points at Baltimore and carried a 13-10 lead into the fourth quarter. But the Ravens roared back, scoring 21 unanswered points against Kansas City's second- and third-team defense to both win and cover, 31-13.

Todd Haley has coached 10 preseason games and the Chiefs are 0-10 against the spread in those games (H/T kcsno56). In the win-loss, they're 1-9, which isn't much better. They've scored more than one offensive touchdown...once. The Chiefs are just a bad preseason team.

Coming up this weekend, the Chiefs are actually favored by a couple of points, which means you should bet against them. We call that easy money...(place generic disclaimer here about not taking gambling advice from me).
