Kansas City Chiefs Pick Up A New Receiver

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed a new receiver -- Chris Manno. He last played college ball with Hofstra in 2007 and since then has bounced around a few places.

After Hofstra, he started in the Arena League, which folded, and moved on to AF2, which is the Arena League's developmental league.

Can't say that I know much about him. Here's a quote from him in February 2011 about continuing his football career:

"It's all I want to do." He says, "I think about it every day. I think about it every minute of every day. I come from a background that wasn't very wealthy. My mom and I, my dad and my sister lived in very small apartment for most of our lives. We just never had a lot of money growing up and I would love to be able to take care of my family."

We'll see if he's got what it takes to make the roster. The odds are certainly against him.
