The Kansas City Chiefs 2011 training camp schedule is winding down. So far down, in fact, that we're actually on the last day of practice for the team before we hit the rest of the preseason and then the regular season.
The Chiefs will hold a 10:30 a.m. walk-through this morning and a 2:40 p.m. practice. If you want to see the team up close and in-person, today might be the last day. (Last year, the Chiefs did a night practice at Arrowhead Stadium after camp ended but we haven't heard yet whether they'll be able to do the same this year so keep an eye out for that.)
Training camp seemed to fly by this year because we had free agency going on at the same time. Instead of focusing all of our attention on camp battles and who's rising and falling in practice, we turned part of our attention to free agency, who the Chiefs were interested in and who they've signed.
When the Chiefs come back home, they'll have a similar schedule at the practice facility as they did in St. Joe. They'll just be practicing in a different location for the three weeks or so before the season starts.
