Well, it seems there's not a lot to cheer for at Arrowhead, so perhaps it's fitting that there were so many empty seats from the outset. Whether it's the first quarter fumbles or the inability to generate any offense, it's been a depressing night for Chiefs fans -- as much as preseason games can be at least.
The most frustrating aspect of this game is the tale of two franchises -- two teams with burgeoning young talent who went 10-6 last season with favorable schedules. Yet the two teams look demonstrably different tonight. Hopefully the fourth quarter looks a bit more promising to provide some momentum heading into another week of training camp. Either way, this hasn't been a good night for the Chiefs.
