Over the last week, a number of you have been wondering how to watch the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game live online. It's a nationally televised game on FOX so you should be able to watch this week if you have a TV.
But since I'm out of the Kansas City viewing area myself, it's something I'm especially interested in as the season goes on. So I went and did a little digging.
Now, for regular season games, you have a number of pay options to watch the Chiefs games online - Sunday Ticket To-go and NFL Game Rewind are two.
But if you want to watch preseason games, there is really only one option.
NFL.com has a live preseason package you can purchase here. For $20, you can get every NFL preseason game streaming live to your computer in apparent HD quality. Note, $20 gets only the preseason games, not the regular season games. There are of course some restrictions: "NFL Preseason Live is only available to users within the United States, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, and any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths (including American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands)."
There are of course other, um, illegal ways to watch the Chiefs online. But unfortunately we can't post those here and neither should you. We'll be posting live streaming radio information tomorrow before the game, if you want just audio.
I have no reason to push this but for $20 to get every preseason game, the NFL.com deal isn't too shabby. Has anyone used the NFL.com service before? What's the quality of the viewing experience on?
