Where We Stand Right Now With Chiefs Free Agency

Just a few hours in and there hasn't been any official news coming from One Arrowhead Drive on the Kansas City Chiefs free agency moves. As of 5:00 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) this evening, the Chiefs could start officially signing free agents (like Steve Breaston) but there's nothing yet.

As we've been doing through free agency, here's an update on where we stand with all the Chiefs free agents and draft picks right after the jump. Also be sure to check out Chris' post on the roster and how many players the Chiefs will need to sign, like, right now.

Anyone think we'll hear some news tonight?

Players officially released: G Brian Waters, CB Jackie Bates, WR Chris Chambers and TE Brad Cottam.

Unrestricted free agents: C Casey Wiegmann, S Jon McGraw, CB Travis Daniels, WR Terrance Copper, DE Shaun Smith (Titans), DT Ron Edwards (Panthers), LB Charlie Anderson, RB Jackie Battle, FB Tim Castille, OT Ryan O'Callaghan, LB Corey Mays, TE Leonard Pope, C Rudy Niswanger and QB Brodie Croyle.

(Names in bold are reportedly re-signing with Chiefs and names in italics are guys that have reportedly signed with other teams. The rest of 'em we don't know about.)

Restricted free agents (all unsigned): CB Brandon Carr, OT Barry Richardson, DE Wallace Gilberry and FB Mike Cox.

2011 NFL draft picks signed: WR Jonathan Baldwin, C Rodney Hudson, DL Allen Bailey, DB Jalil Brown, QB Ricky Stanzi, LB Gabe Miller, DL Jerrell Powe and FB Shane Bannon.
