We have our first fantasy football prediction for new Kansas City Chiefs WR Steve Breaston.
Stats-based website Pro Football Focus has taken a look at Breaston and how he fits with the Chiefs coming to this conclusion on his first year in KC:
Given that Kansas City had the fourth fewest passing attempts last year, it's not a very fantasy-friendly setup for receivers. Breaston should look to haul in 57 passes for 756 yards and 3 touchdowns, making him a solid option as a WR4.
That seems a little high but not bad. The problem the Chiefs will have is spreading the ball around. Every time you drop back to pass is an opportunity not given to the league's most effective running back, Jamaal Charles. Even when the Chiefs do drop back, Breaston will be competing for balls from WR Dwayne Bowe, WR Jonathan Baldwin and TE Tony Moeaki, among others.
The Chiefs have a lot of mouths to feed in the passing game.
