Wrapping Up The Kansas City Chiefs' Day In NFL Free Agency

Click here to catch Joel's wrap up of Tuesday's action.

The Kansas City Chiefs are nearly finished with day two of the post-2011 NFL Lockout era and it was another day of rumors, actual signings and more rumors.

This day, even with less signings, was more fun than yesterday in my opinion. Teams were figuring out the new CBA rules and how to work certain players with certain salary requirements into those new rules. And of course, the rumors were flying on Twitter because of it. It was nuts.

So, I'm here to recap where the Kansas City Chiefs currently stand in free agency. The quick overview is that the Chiefs signed a good wide receiver from Arizona; signed a 7th round 2011 draft pick; signed ten undrafted free agents; and are rumored to be connected/interested/whatever in a number of players.

Here's where the Kansas City Chiefs stand as of Wednesday evening:

2011 NFL free agents reportedly agreed to terms: Arizona WR Steve Breaston.

2011 NFL draft picks reportedly agreed to terms: 7th round pick FB Shane Bannon.

Undrafted free agents officially signed: Auburn CB Demond Washington, Virginia Union OT David Mims, Tennessee-Chattanooga OL Chris Harr, Texas A&M DT/DE Lucas Patterson, UNC OT Mike Ingersoll, Central Connecticut WR Josue Paul, Oregon DT Brandon Bair, USC OL Butch Lewis, Temple LB Amara Kamara and Michigan State TE Charlie Gantt.

Unrestricted free agents reportedly agreed to terms: C Casey Wiegmann, WR Terrance Copper, CB Travis Daniels, S Jon McGraw.

Unrestricted free agents remaining: DE Shaun Smith, LB Charlie Anderson, RB Jackie Battle, FB Tim Castille, OT Ryan O'Callaghan, LB Corey Mays, TE Leonard Pope, C Rudy Niswanger and QB Brodie Croyle.

Unrestricted free agents lost to another team: NT Ron Edwards (Panthers).

Other free agency rumors and reports: DE Wallace Gilberry plans to sign his tender, Chiefs trying to re-sign DE Shaun Smith, DE Jason Babin says Chiefs are showing interest in him and the 49ers are prepared to lose NT Aubrayo Franklin.
