The Kansas City Chiefs are on their way to training camp. Chiefs officials announced at Arrowhead on Tuesday morning that players would arrive on Thursday and the first camp practice would come on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Two more practices have been scheduled on Saturday and Sunday for the same time.
The Chiefs official Twitter account sent out the picture above of trucks loading up camp equipment for the drive up I-29 to St. Joe, Missouri. It looks like this shot was taken from the practice facility as the trucks are turning out onto the road.
Important to note are the new rules this year will change a few things for training camp.
First, there will be no padded practices for the first three days of camp so Sunday is the first hitting day, if Todd Haley chooses to do that. Second, two-a-days are gone and they'll be replaced with a helmet-less walk-through for the second practice. Third, camp rosters will be at 90 which means we'll have a lot more "Who is that" when practices start.
Only a couple more days until we see real, live Kansas City Chiefs players. Can't wait.
