Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli, head coach Todd Haley and COO Mark Donovan are talking live with the media this morning on KCChiefs.com in order to answer questions and make a few announcements.
Mark Donovan spoke first and he had a couple of announcements regarding the Kansas City Chiefs training camp schedule for 2011. Here's the breakdown:
- Players will report to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday for physicals and some testing then they will report to Missouri Western's campus that evening for training camp;
- There will be three public practices this weekend, one at Friday at 3:30 p.m., Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3:30 p.m.;
- The rest of the training camp schedule will be updated on KCChiefs.com in the coming days;
- There will be multiple night practices, Family Fun night scheduled for August 6th and a season ticket holder night as well.
The new NFL training camp rules state that teams are not allowed to have full contact practices in the first three days of training camp. That means that on Sunday, Todd Haley can ask the players to put on pads. But Haley said this morning he hasn't decided on Sunday pads or not.
