Kansas City Chiefs Reportedly Add Undrafted Free Agent DT Lucas Patterson

We've got another undrafted free agent signing by the Kansas City Chiefs that has reportedly happened. Adam Caplan of Fox Sports reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a deal with Texas A&M DT/DE Lucas Patterson.

Patterson is 6'3", 293 pounds and ran a 5.12 40-yard dash as a senior at A&M. Multiple scouting reports labeled him as a DE/DL hybrid and someone that could potentially line up at nose tackle.

One scouting report said this of Patterson:

The guy has some versatility, a good motor, can coil up well and play with leverage and is a guy who I could see sticking as a reserve type lineman.

I'm assuming that Patterson's versatility was key for the Kansas CIty Chiefs in bringing him in. Defensive line depth is always needed.

That makes four unofficial reports about players the Chiefs have signed: DE Lucas Patterson, UTC OT Chris Harr, Auburn CB Demond Washington and Virginia Union OT David Mims.
