Chiefs First Undrafted Free Agent Pick-Up Is A National Champ

Technically, the Kansas City Chiefs and every other NFL team cannot sign undrafted free agents until 9:00 a.m .(Arrowhead time) tomorrow morning. But, of course, thanks to Twitter we have early reports coming out about some of the Chiefs' undrafted free agent signings.

This is unofficial of course but there is a report that the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with Demond Washington, a cornerback out of Auburn university. A few outlets are reporting it and we noticed this was mentioned several hours ago via Twitter (and he has since confirmed it via an unverified Twitter account).

Washington joins a chorus of SEC players in Kansas City. He's a smaller cornerback at 5'9" and 180 pounds and has good speed running a 4.45 40-yard dash at Auburn's pro day last March. He had 48 tackles, one sack and three picks last year for Auburn. He's also got some return ability with 46 kick returns for 1,117 yards and one touchdown last year.

He appears to be one of those guys that will likely need to make the team via special teams.
