Kansas City Chiefs tickets for the 2011 season will be going on sale next week, according to a release from the team. Jackson County taxpayers will get the early scoop with tickets available to purchase on Monday and Tuesday of next week (Aug. 1 and 2).
You can pick them up at Arrowhead or any Ticketmaster outlets (but not by phone). Remember, you gotta have a photo I.D. and your property tax receipt confirming you're a legit Jackson County resident.
They'll be open to the general public on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 10:00 a.m.
The Chiefs are also doing that two-pack thing again this year to capitalize on the two biggest games. So if you're looking to buy tickets to two of the most popular games -- those against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers -- you'll have to buy tickets to another game as well.
The Chiefs have noted a few times that they're leading the league in new season ticket sales so it'll be interesting to see how quickly the single-game tickets sell, especially in light of our NFL lockout-filled offseason.
