Missouri Western Hasn't Heard From Chiefs, Yet

The NFL lockout is not officially over but nearly everyone expects the players to approve the proposal from the owners within several hours and announce the end of the lockout.

From there, we still need to figure out when Kansas City Chiefs training camp will start. Last week, Missouri Western Western interim AD Dave Nicoson, suggested that if a deal weren't reached by last Thursday or Friday, the start to Chiefs camp could be delayed.

We still don't know yet whether that will be the case. Reports are emerging that training camps could start as soon as Thursday.

Officially, Missouri Western hasn't heard yet when Chiefs camp will start, according to KQTV in St. Joe.

A university spokesman, Kent Heier, said this morning Western does not yet have a set date for camp to begin. The university is still waiting on word from the Chiefs.

The Chiefs have been operating off of a number of scenarios, one of which I assume is the lockout being lifted today. If so, we should soon learn the start date for Chiefs training camp in St. Joe.
