Latest NFL Lockout News And Updates

The NFL lockout is returning to that area where no one knows what's really going on but we've cobbled the latest tidbits from the various reports out there.

First, ESPN's John Clayton reports the owners were told by the league to be ready for a vote between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Arrowhead time) on Thursday. Most are predicting they will vote to approve the deal.

Second, NFL Network's Albert Breer reports the player reps will be holding a conference call with DeMaurice Smith at 7:00 p.m. (Arrowhead time) this evening. Will that be just an update or a vote? That's the big question right now.

So it would appear the next bit of news we're waiting for is the result of the owners vote this afternoon and then after that it will be figuring out what this conference call with the players is all about.

The other lingering questions: Will there be a "global settlement" that wraps this all up at once? How long will it takes the players to re-form the union? Will they re-form the union at all?

For now, we wait for the next update in the NFL lockout.
