Chiefs Coach 'Very Interested' To See What Players Did During NFL Lockout

Kansas City Chiefs head coach hasn't seen any of his players since the tail end of April when the lockout was briefly lifted for a few days so his first order of business will likely be to see where each of them stands physically.

Who stayed in shape? Who let themselves go? Who lost weight? Who gained weight?

Lots of questions need to be answered. In a video on NFL.com shot during Haley's not-so-successful appearance at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe last weekend, the Chiefs head coach said it would be "very interesting" to see where some of his guys stand.

"Seeing how our young team responds to this lengthy period over the last few months will be very interesting to me as the head coach," Haley said, "to really just see what guys did and how they handled it."

As Mitch Holthus said on 810 WHB this week, the Chiefs have used their offseason workouts as well as anyone the last couple of years. The key now becomes how they handle an offseason without the coaching staff.

I bet there are a couple of nervous Chiefs right about now with training camp (hopefully) right around the corner.
