Around The AFC West: Darrius Heyward-Bey, Randy Moss And Knowshon Moreno

Joel is currently traveling to Minnesota so you'll have to put up with me posting for a couple more hours to round out the work week.

Since we haven't done one of these in a while, because you know, there hasn't really been any AFC West news, I figured now was as good of a time as any to update everyone on the what's been happening in the rest of the AFC West.

Expect more regular division updates once the NFL Lockout ends, but for now, here are some AFC West links to check out:

Oakland Raiders

Pirate Booty: Nnamdi Asomugha Will Not Be a Raven, and Is Lamarr Houston the Raiders Brightest Star? - Silver And Black Pride
Happy another locked Friday, y'all. Once again hopefully this is the last one, and by all accounts it will be. I can't wait. The explosion of football action is going to be orgasmic. That said, that explosion is most certainly not here yet. At least now this really feels like the calm before the storm. Check out our few items of booty after the jump....

Get ready for cap crisis nonsense - Inside the Oakland Raiders - A look inside the world of the highly classified Oakland Raiders from the writers of Bay Area News Group
There have already been some reports about how the Raiders will be incapable of bringing aboard anything substantial after signing up Richard Seymour and Stanford Routt to contracts before the lockout. Does anyone remember before the the uncapped season how the Raiders would routinely have these huge overages against the salary cap _ as high as $40 or $50 million _ and then magically be under the cap and still be players in the free agent market?

Raiders' Darrius Heyward-Bey Among NFL's Elite - Silver And Black Pride
Hey everybody! Check this out! Darrius Heyward-Bey is ranked 15th in an offseason list ranking players based on their overall performance! Unfortunately, it is ranking the worst players in the league. Grantlands' Bill Barnwell ranked the 25 worst players in the NFL, and the incomprable "-" cracked the list.

Randy Moss to the Raiders is a Bigger Possibility Than I'd Like to Admit - Silver And Black Pride
Why haven't there been any connections of Randy Moss to the Raiders. Plaxico Burress is connected to the Raiders by conjecture and hearsay almost daily. Why hasn't Randy Moss received the same treatment? Before we go any further, I want to say one thing: I hate Randy Moss.

Ask Coach Jackson

Each week, Raiders Head Coach Hue Jackson will answer five questions via e-mail from Raider Nation.

Q&A: Broncos, NFL players must be ready for pounding of training camp - The Denver Post
Coaches and personnel executives have routinely said offseason workouts are essential to build a winning team; that everyone needs to attend; and that it works best if any off time is spaced between workout sessions to avoid having players off for too many consecutive weeks and away from the team complex. One season, in an effort to control the calendar a little more, Mike Shanahan even held a July minicamp — a rare thing in the league — to try to get the players back into the complex one more time before cutting them loose until the start of training camp later that month.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution Says Broncos Expected to Bid for Falcons T Tyson Clabo - Mile High Report
Teams expected to bid for Clabo include Seattle, Denver and possibly the Chicago Bears. But since the Bears drafted Wisconsin’s Gabe Carimi with the 29th pick in the draft, they might not enter the Clabo derby.
