Eric Berry Could Be The Next Great JUCO Transfer

Kansas City Chiefs S Eric Berry went on 790 The Zone in Atlanta on Friday and indicated that, if the NFL lockout continues, the University of Tennessee could be getting a new transfer soon.

"All I know is," Berry said, "if the lockout continues, Tennessee will have a JUCO transfer named Enrique."

Yeah, he's kidding but I bet Enrique would be pretty damn good at UT.

Here are a few other highlights from Berry's appearance on the radio show:
On safeties he studies:

"I study a lot of safeties at once so I pick out things from different safeties that I like or that I think are pretty cool and try to put it into my game. So I would definitely say Ed Reed and Troy [Polamalu] are the top two i watch and try to mimic. Also some Darren Sharper in there as well. I watch a lot of guys but I love watching football period."

On the Ravens playoff game:

"When I was on the sideline, I was up watching the Ravens defense. I was watching Ed Reed, Ray Lewis and how they carried themselves through the playoff game. It was like they turned it up into a different level and i was feeding off their defense trying to compete with their defense thinking we have good linebackers, good linemen as well. How they handled that playoff game and how they handled their business, we'll know how to handle our business next year."

On the SEC players on the Chiefs:

"Hey man, he keeps picking us. When we get there, we all just click up like Javier. I think we have three different SEC guys in the secondary -- me, Kendrick and Javier -- and we are all rivals. Before the game, like Satuurdays if we're playing against each other, we're beefing but when we're on the field we're helping each other out. That SEC bond, it's more like a fraternity."
