A few months ago we noted that Kansas City Chiefs K Ryan Succop was working out as he normally would -- kicking, running, lifting and all that good stuff.
Two months later and guess what? Nothing has changed (via Arrowheadlines via Hickory Record).
"I'm doing everything I would be doing, even if I were in Kansas City right now," Succop said. "I'm running, I'm lifting, kicking and training five days a week right now, which is exactly what I would be doing if I were there. Really I'm not approaching it any differently. I'm trying to get better every day and keep working hard."
I just hope most players are treating the lockout like Succop is -- business as usual.
Succop was playing in the Dale Jarrett Shootout golf tournament with this random group: former Washington Redskins head coach and NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs, Jack Archibald of Statesville High, Champions Tour player Bobby Clampett and Percy Vaughn, director of operations at Kia Motors.
Let's hope this is the last time we're updating Chiefs fans on Succop's work during the lockout.
