The biggest story floating around the NFL today is Plaxico Burress' prison release so we figured we'd check in one more time on Burress' future in the NFL.
If oddsmakers know anything, the Kansas City Chiefs won't be Burress' next destination. This doesn't come as much of a surprise to Chiefs fans as most of didn't think he'd be an option anyway.
BetOnline.com lists these teams as possible candidates (listed in order starting with most likely): Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers.
We'll see where he decides but I think the Rams make a lot of sense. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo knows Burress from their Giants' days and the Rams need another receiver for QB Sam Bradford. That would be my early guess. The Eagles have a ton of playmakers so I have a hard time seeing how they're the favorites.
Where do you think Plax will sign once the NFL lockout is over?
