Missouri Western AD Dave Williams was one of the key liaisons between the school and the Kansas City Chiefs as the team brought training camp to the MWSU campus last summer.
Things will be changing a little bit this year as the school announced on Monday that Williams' contract will not be renewed. Via St. Joe News-Press:
"I've asked Dan Nicoson, vice president for university advancement, to serve as interim athletic director, effective immediately," said Dr. Robert A. Vartabedian, Western's president. "Dan is an outstanding administrator and will be especially important as a liaison between the university and the Kansas City Chiefs as we prepare for our second summer training camp."
It's an interesting time for those involved with the Chiefs (possible) summer trip to St. Joe. The NFL lockout means that, as of now, there will be no training camp but of course we're hoping the owners and players can come to an agreement that will allow training camp to resume as schedule.
It's yet another change in an offseason of changes for those involved with the NFL.
