As most of you know by now, the owners and players met again this week in pursuit of a new CBA to end the NFL lockout. Reports have said progress is being made though it depends on who you talk to in order to determine exactly how much progress.
Either way, talking is better than not talking. The two sides issued a joint statement this afternoon confirming that they have indeed been meeting. The participants in those meetings once again had a Kansas City Chiefs connection.
Chiefs G Brian Waters was one of several players in attendance, which likely means he was not present for the Chiefs player-only workouts this week. Along with DeMaurice Smith, the players' contingent included Waters, Kevin Mawae, Tony Richardson, Jeff Saturday and Domonique Foxworth.
Clark Hunt was your Chiefs connection for the owners side. He attended the meetings along with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, owners Dean Spanos, Jerry Richardson, Robert Kraft and John Mara.
I'm still dreaming of the day we can watch a press conference with Clark Hunt, Brian Waters and others announcing the end of the NFL lockout and a return to our normal football lives.
