This Is A Stretch For Kansas City Chiefs News

When your job is to blog about the Kansas City Chiefs and there's not much going on with the team, you're left to posting random tidbits about press releases with some sort of Chiefs tie.

This week that comes via a release from the Arena Football League announcing a trade between the Utah, Spokane and San Jose AFL franchises. The trade sent DL Khreem Smith to Utah who, according to the stats, played in one career game for the Chiefs in the 2006 season.

The [Utah] Blaze will be especially strong in their defensive front as Smith joins forces with DL Caesar Rayford (6-7, 265, Washington). Smith was a member of last year's AFL first-team, ranking third in the league with 9.0 sacks. So far this season, Smith has recorded 7.0 sacks and is once again ranked third in the league. Smith also boasts NFL experience, playing for the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs during the 2006 and 2007 regular seasons.

I do not remember this at all (although one of you definitely will).
