Too Early For NFL Power Rankings?

New, comments

If you don't like looking at 2012 NFL mock drafts then you really won't like this post. Adam Caplan of released a set of post-draft NFL power rankings with the Kansas City Chiefs coming in 13th.

General manager Scott Pioli did a nice job of addressing needs during the draft. The first three players that they drafted could start. But the one area which still needs to be addressed is right tackle. The big concern, though, is the loss of offensive coordinator Charlie Weis.

Ranked ahead of the Chiefs in descending order: San Diego Chargers, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers.

What's interesting about the time period we're in right now is that so much of the preseason rankings will depend on how well teams handle the lockout. Veteran teams like the Saints are already getting after it with nearly 40 players attending their player-only workouts.

I know it's too early, probably so early that it's ridiculous. But what are your thoughts on the 12 teams ahead of the Chiefs? I might disagree with one or two but that list seems about right.
