Earlier this week, Joel mentioned that Eric Berry tweeted that he would be in Kansas City this weekend helping to promote his friend Inky Johnson's new book. Berry wears No. 29 in honor of Johnson, who sustained a career ending injury in 2006 when he and Berry were at Tennessee.
The local NBC affiliate caught up with Berry and Johnson yesterday in Kansas City and Berry mentioned that he was working out with Brandon Flowers in Florida.
"We're doing a lot of drills on the beach," Berry said. "The defensive back drills, we do that in the sand. You can tell how good Brandon covers, I mean he does it in the sand so it gets a lot easier when he does it on the grass."
