Eric Berry Throwing Out First Pitch At Cardinals-Royals Game

We already had a few notes on Kansas City Chiefs S Eric Berry's appearance on 810 WHB's Border Patrol Friday morning but here's another one: He'll be throwing out the first pitch at Sunday's baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals.

(Hopefully Berry has as many St. Louis jokes as we do.)

"What you don't know is that baseball is actually my first love," Berry said. "I played pitcher all the way up until high school. I played my freshman year and then I decided I really wanted to play football so I stopped."

Berry told Steven St. John and Nate Bukaty he was 7-0 as a pitcher his freshman year in high school and threw the ball around with his brothers about a month ago.

As St. John suggested, that he has some experience means the expectations are raised.

Because of the NFL lockout, this qualifies as big Chiefs news so we'll have shots of Berry's pitch posted sometime on Sunday.
