Chiefs S Eric Berry Even Inspires Paintball Players

We've noted a time or two (or a dozen) that Kansas City Chiefs news is scarce in the offseason, especially during the NFL lockout. There's just not much going on.

I'd like to think that this story is something we'd mention whether we're busy or not because it's unique, to say the least.

Zack Wake is regarded as the top paintball player in the world. Yes, that's paintball and it's actually a professional sport.  Anyway, Wake comes from the Knoxville area so it's no surprise that his number -- 14 -- is a tribute to a former Tennessee Vol that Chiefs fans may know.

He is a Central High School graduate, and like most folks from Knoxville, is a University of Tennessee sports fan. He even wears the number 14 in honor of former Vol standout and current Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry.

"Berry was a beast," Wake said. "The other team always had to know where he was on the field. That's how I try to make it when I play."

That's Eric Berry, folks. Inspiring people from around the world, even the paintball world.
