Wrapping Up Kansas City Chiefs Depth Chart Projections

We've gone through every Kansas City Chiefs 2011 NFL draft pick and taken a look at where they fit on the depth chart. After doing this I think the Chiefs will end up getting at least a few starters out of this, possibly even a couple first-year starters (if not more).

If you missed our stories on the depth chart projections, I've linked them all after the jump and provided a sentence or two summary of what we're thinking.

Which one jumps out at you the most?
WR Jonathan Baldwin: I think the Chiefs only option is to play him right away.

C Rodney Hudson: If C Casey Wiegmann returns, I don't think he'll start. If Wiegmann doesn't return, Hudson is thrown into the fire.

LB Justin Houston: Part of his future depends on whether LB Mike Vrabel returns. If he doesn't, Houston is competing with LB Andy Studebaker for the starting job but either way I think he plays a situational role in 2011.

DE Allen Bailey: It's hard to see where he fits but he'll join the defensive line rotation.

CB Jalil Brown: I think the best case scenario for him is that he opens as the nickelback. He'll play early on special teams.

QB Ricky Stanzi:I think he ends up being the top backup assuming QB Brodie Croyle leaves.

LB Gabe Miller: He's a little rough around the edges and will need some time so he has a minimal impact in year one.

DT Jerrell Powe: If DT Ron Edwards doesn't return, he could be playing quickly. But I would guess the Chiefs bring Edwards back.

FB Shane Bannon: A fullback that's drafted usually makes the team so I think he will. I'm still not quite sure what his role will be though.
