Around The AFC West: Steve Smith On West Coast, Tim Tebow And Raider Workouts

New, comments
It's time for another trip around the AFC West to find out what fans are talking about with the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders. Here's what's going on around the AFC West:

Chargers fans are talking about WR Steve SmithInteresting stuff at Bolts From The Blue. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune floated the possibility of the Chargers adding Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith in a trade once the lockout is lifted. I've thought the same for the Chiefs in the pre-Baldwin era. Smith on the Chargers would make them very, very good. QB Philip Rivers had pretty impressive numbers last season with No. 1 WR Vincent Jackson out half the year and a string of injuries in that position group. Smith would take him to another level. While you're at it, check out my team needs story for the Chargers at SBNation.com.
Broncos fans are talking about QB Tim Tebow. And they're sending their bloggers to the ancient Mayans to learn more about this species they call Tebow.

Also notable is my team needs series on the Broncos at SBNation.com.

Raiders fans are talking about player-organized workouts. Raiders QB Jason Campbell is getting the team together for a few workouts. Check out the picture posted at Silver and Black Pride. Oakland is pretty much what I thought it was. Campbell said he hadn't talked about the Raiders players working out because it's "not for public notice"....and then he posted 11 pictures of the workouts on his Twitter account. Also of note is that we have a new lead blogger at Silver and Black Pride. In the email introducing him, I made the obvious joke: "He was chosen as the new lead blogger because he was the fastest blogger on the team."
