2011 NFL Draft: More Pre-Draft Visits For The Chiefs

New, comments

Aaron Wilson of National Football Post seems to have the scoop on quite a few pre-draft workouts and visits. He reports this week on a couple more players that have visited the Kansas City Chiefs.

First, he reports Georgia LB Akeem Dent is visiting the Chiefs today. Dent has a lot of the characteristics the Chiefs value: team captain, on the honor roll and earned the team's True Grit Award following spring practice. Plus, he comes from the SEC. He's projected as a sixth round pick. Check out the NFP story for the full run down on who he's visiting and working out for.

Second, he reports USC CB Shareece Wright has visited the Chiefs as well. It's possible the Chiefs were taking a closer look at him because of a neck injury he suffered a couple years ago. He started every game for the Trojans last year and was academically ineligible for much of the 2009 season. He's expected to be a third round pick in the 2011 NFL draft. Check out the NFP story for the full run down on who he's visiting and working out for.

The Chiefs will be finishing up the last of their pre-draft visits soon with the draft just over a week away. They probably have a good idea of what their board looks like right now and will continue to tweak things until draft day.
