Who will the Kansas City Chiefs Week 1 opponent be?
We're a little over an hour from figuring that out but I'm going to make my official guess now. Here are a few guesses on the Week 1 schedule.
First, I don't think they'll be playing a division opponent in Week 1. The Chiefs played the San Diego Chargers in Week 1 last year but I don't think we'll see a repeat. The Oakland Raiders will reportedly visit the Denver Broncos in on the second Monday Night Football game in Week 1.
Second, I think they'll play an AFC team.
Third, I think they'll open at home.
There are a bunch of reports out there on which teams will play when. Using some of that information, I've narrowed my Week 1 guess down to the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins or Pittsburgh Steelers.
The best game, in my opinion, would be Steelers vs. Chiefs in the first Monday Night Football game of the year. Would the league do that, though? There are more attractive possible games (like Steelers vs. Patriots).
So of those three teams, I'm going to make a complete guess and say the Chiefs open the season against the Bills.
What's your guess?
