The Kansas City Chiefs have shown some interest in a few receivers during the 2011 NFL draft season and I don't think it's a huge surprise that they're interested in adding one (or several) along the way.
According to Aaron Wilson of National Football Post, the Chiefs are among a number of teams showing interest in Illinois WR Jarred Fayson. Others include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Houston Texans , New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills.
He's 6'0" and 207 pounds running the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds so he's got some nice speed. Last season he caught 38 passes for 355 yards and a touchdown. He transferred from Florida.
Fayson was likely overshadowed at Illinois by the outstanding play of Illinois QB Nathan Scheelhaase, who can take over a game anytime he wants. Scheelhaase is a grad of Rockhurst High School in Kansas City...and you can probably guess where I went to high school.
Check out National Football Post for the full scoop on Faysen. He sounds like a late round pick or an undrafted free agent.
